Often times, toward the end of recovery, you start to feel unsure of yourself. When you live with depression for a long time, you learn how to do everything with it, and in time everything from your daily habits to your hobbies and pastimes are ingrained with your depressive state. So when you have a lapse in your illness and you start to feel good again, unfortunately it can be hard to keep up with those things. For example, when I go trough the recovery period of my cycle, I find myself not writing anything, not drawing anything, not interested in playing music as much. This is because I learned how to write through depression. Someday, by exercising my creativity, I will be able to achieve in any state. This album is a reflection of that.

I've been waiting for these stitches to burst and these wounds to tear. I've been waiting for the flowers that grow in ash. Happiness is a dull flame. Depression kept me motivated. Wake up to shafts of light. I am desperate to return to the hush that I once was.
